Modified on Thu, Jan 24, 2019 at 12:44 PM

e-Builder allows you to compare two documents simultaneously and annotate the differences.

Navigate to the Documents module for a given project. You can do this one of two ways:

1. Select the project from the Projects tab, and then the Documents module along the left-hand side

  - Or -

2. Select the Documents module and then pick your project.

Compare Different Documents

You can compare two different documents by selecting them both and clicking Compare from the menu of document actions.

This will open up a new window. If it doesn’t make sure you don’t have a pop-up blocker enabled.

You can only compare documents that are able to be Redlined, like pdf files and images.

Compare Different Versions of the Same Document

If you want to compare two different versions of the same document, click on Properties for the document you wish to compare.

Select the Versions tab in the Properties window, then select the two versions that you wish to compare and click Compare.

Click Annotate along the top of the comparison window to bring up the annotation tools pane along the left side of the window.

You can choose from multiple views within the comparison window.

In this view, the documents are displayed side by side. Note that the selected view is highlighted in blue in the upper-left corner.

You can also overlay two documents within the comparison tool. This will highlight the differences between the two documents.

The selected view is highlighted in blue in the upper-left corner.
