Issue: The Canon MFC scan function does not allow you to scan a single side of a document.
Resolution: The scanner is set to scan single-side by default. Pressing the piece of paper (changing the color) is how you scan double-sided. Not clicking on the paper and leaving it unlighted, you will scan the one side.
