The following are three different ways in which you can reset your Patriot Pass password in order to maintain your access to Mason services (i.e. PatriotWeb) and enterprise software (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, etc.):



Method #1: Sending a Temporary Claim Code to an Alternative Email Address


1. Visit password.gmu.edu

2. Select Expired/Forgotten Password.

 


3. Click Send me a claim code






4. Enter your Gnumber and your date of birth in the format shown in the image.



5. After your complete the previous step, a one-time-use claim code will have been sent to the email address that is displayed on the screen.



6. Open a new tab within your internet browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) and retrieve your claim code from your alternative email inbox.



7. Once you have copied your claim code, return to your previous internet tab from step #5 and click on Use Code




8. 
Enter your Gnumber and claim code.

8. Proceed with the on-screen instructions for resetting your password.






Method #2: Answering Security Questions


1. Besides sending a temporary claim code to your alternative email address, you can also answer security questions that you previously selected when activating your Patriot Pass account.  To answer the security questions, visit password.gmu.edu > Expired/Forgotten Password > Ask me security questions.






2. Enter your Gnumber in the format shown in the image.





3. Enter your answers to the questions you had previously selected when activating your Patriot Pass account



4. Proceed with the on-screen instructions for resetting your password.






Method #3: Submit a Claim Code Reset Request Form


1. The third and final method of resetting your Patriot Pass password is to submit a claim code reset request form which can be found at the following link: https://its.gmu.edu/patriot-pass-password-reset/
